Reactive Dog Program

7 Private Sessions + Custom Training Plan+ two 30 minute Zoom calls 

Our Reactive Dog course is built for dogs who struggle with leash reactivity, barrier reactivity, overstimulation, or fear-based responses to their environment. These dogs aren’t "bad"—they’re overwhelmed, and they need guidance to feel safe and confident in the world around them. Through structured, compassionate training, we help your dog gain control and teach you how to manage these moments with confidence. 

We understand how stressful daily walks can become when your dog reacts unpredictably, and we’re here to help transform that experience. If your dog barks, lunges, or shuts down around other dogs or people, let’s work together to create a calmer, more secure future.

Program Structure

Format: Individualized behavioral training program focused on improving handler skills, communication, engagement, neutrality, and safe management of reactive behavior.

Includes:

• 7 × 60-minute private training sessions
• 2 × 30-minute Zoom Q&A / progress-review sessions
• 2 structured field trips incorporated into the program
• Structured homework between sessions
• Supporting educational materials and videos
• Progressive real-world exposure based on the individual dog's threshold and progress

Prerequisite

For dogs with a history of aggression, biting, or severe reactivity, muzzle conditioning is required before beginning exposure-based portions of the program.

The dog should be comfortable:

• voluntarily putting their head into the muzzle;
• wearing the muzzle for increasing periods of time;
• having the muzzle fastened;
• walking and working comfortably while muzzled.

Muzzle training is intended as a safety and management tool, not as a substitute for behavior modification.
